I will be cutting back on the number of talks I give over the next two years. Nevertheless, every so often I will be lecturing in museums, bookshops, universities, conferences and schools. My topics range from Fermat’s Last Theorem to risk/probability, from cryptography to the media, from alternative medicine to libel reform.
This section includes my upcoming talks, something for schools and teachers, details of my talks for conference and seminars and some information about the Enigma Project for schools. I typically am unable to accept invitations to speak, so there is also a list of recommended speakers on the subjects of science and maths. You will also find some information about a couple of other projects that involved me, namely Nine Lessons and Carols for Godless People and Theatre of Science.
Information for Teachers about “The Simpsons & Their Mathematical Secrets” (including PowerPoint)
I have created a PowerPoint presentation for teachers, which looks at the mathematics in The Simpsons. You can find out more about the nerdier side of The Simpsons (& Futurama) in my book “The Simpsons and Their Mathematical Secrets“.
